each workbook contains the wide array of techniques and projects presented by Irene during her popular sketching workshops over the last decade. If you followed along as she blogged the workshops, you'll know what that means!
Each workbook has been enlarged and enhanced to include the demonstrations and advice offered in person by Irene during the workshops. Plus, they feature many new illustrations to clarify and simplify the techniques, step-by-step tutorials, and additional projects to help you practice and master the course. They're running 22-27 pages so far.
If you weren't able to take one of Irene's workshops due to the cost or a distant location, here's your chance to make up for lost time.
These workbooks are in PDF (Portable Document File) format ~ pay with your credit card or PayPal and download them instantly from the website. Print them out on your printer (heavy paper recommended), and you're ready to go!
All of these workbooks, except for the Observing Nature curriculum and teacher's manual, can be downloaded for $9.95, priced to make them affordable for all.
Observing Nature, a journal sketching course with a Teacher's Manual, is a bit different, written not only for Journal/Sketchers, but also as a one-day or ongoing course for kids. And since these are a curriculum workbook & teacher's manual, they're priced at $24.95 each (you are permitted to reprint the workbook as needed for your students but not for resale).

Irene is currently in the process of converting the remaining workbooks into stand-alone workbooks. This takes three or more weeks apiece, as new tutorials and techniques must be written and new projects developed for each workbook. Then, of course, everything must be enhanced with extra illustrations to make sure it's easily understandable for the artist working solo.

A COUPLE OF SUGGESTIONS:
1. Unless you already have a good understanding of right-brain techniques, you should start out with Nature Sketching Basics because right-brain processes are neither fully explored nor explained in subsequent workbooks.
Then come back regularly for your next workshop workbook.
2. In addition to being great fun for you, the artist, these workbooks make great gifts for the aspiring artists in your life (especially if you print them out on heavy paper and present them gift-wrapped in a 3-ring binder). They're suitable for ages 12 and up.
A NOTE FROM IRENE: Be sure to visit the description of any e-workbooks you are interested in to make sure they contain what you expect. For instance, in converting the Nature Sketching Basics workshop workbook to an ebook, I realized that I should separate out the landscape part into its own free-standing, greatly enlarged workbook. So while landscape sketching WAS grouped with Nature Sketching Basics in my workshops, it will soon have its own stand-alone workbook.
